Analisa Sifat Mekanik Bahan Paduan Tembaga-Seng Sebagai Alternatif Pengganti Bantalan Gelinding pada Lori Pengangkut Buah Sawit

Abstract


In the strelizer of crude palm oil processing, carriages is forced into strelizer areas at temperature 400oC. Carriages have ball bearing that can be used as wheel so that easy be forced at the railway. The results of the boiling processing, ball bearings will be deformed dan usually time usage till 2 weeks. Research is searching for material composition and type of bearing that can be replaced with more time usage. Experiment was started by surveying at the crude palm oil company and testing of ball bearing material composition. After that make protype of ball bearing with casting process through testing of chemical composition, and then it used at the carriages and forced to the process again. The results of the research show us that by increasing composition of Cu, Pb, and Sn can increase mechanical properties of alloy, treatment is done at 400oC for one hour with variety of cold media can increase material surface. Alloy have material composition 76% Cu, 11,8% Zn, 0.833 Ni, 0.466 Fe, 6.872 Sn and 5.106 Pb with hardness testing at Brinell 60. Value of wearness 0,000013 gr/min. After testing of sliding bearing performance by using alloy can achieve time usage for 4 months.


Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia :

Dalam proses perebusan kelapa sawit, lori pengangkut buah dimasukkan ke dalam sebuah tabung yang suhunya mencapai 400 0C. Setiap lori dilengkapai dengan bantalan gelinding yang berfungsi sebagai roda sehingga mudah dimasukkan dengan cara ditarik di atas rel. Akibat adanya pemanasan, bantalan tersebut mudah pecah dan biasanya umur pakainya hanya sampai 2 minggu saja. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mencari bahan dan jenis bantalan pengganti yang memiliki umur pakai lebih panjang. Eksperimen dimulai dengan melakukan survey langsung di pabrik kelapa sawit dan uji komposisi bahan bantalan gelinding. Selanjutnya membuat prototipe bantalan dengan proses cor berdasarkan komposisi hasil uji kimia, memasang sebagai roda lori dan digunakan sebagaimana kondisi opersinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Cu, Pb, dan Sn dapat meningkatkan sifat mekanik bahan paduan, perlakuan panas dgn suhu 400oC dengan waktu tunggu 1 jam dan variasi media pendingin dapat meningkatkan kekerasan permukaan material. Paduan tembaga yang dihasilkan memiliki komposisi 76 % Cu, 11,8% Zn, 0.833 Ni, 0.466 Fe, 6.872 Sn dan 5.106 Pb dengan angka kekerasan Brinell 60. Nilai angka keausan 0,000013 gr/min. Setelah dilakukan uji unjuk kerja bantalan luncur yang menggunakan material dapat bertahan selama 4 bulan.
