Pengaruh Diameter Kawat Kumparan Alat Penghemat Energi yang Berbasis Elektromagnetik Terhadap Kinerja Motor Diesel

Abstract


As we have known that nowadays for solving the crisis of energy in Indonesia, many works have been done to search the alternative sources of energy. Simultaneously the researchers try to create the apparatus which can save the fuel consumption for automobiles. Purpose of the considered research is to compare the effect of change in diameter of wire winding of fuel saver, which is based on electromagnetic to the performance of the diesel engine. Diameters of the wire winding, which is used in the proposed research, are 0.25 and 0.35 mm. The performance of fuel saver, which has been designed, is tested in the laboratory of the internal combustion engine rig. Performance of the produced fuel saver which is installed in the fuel line of internal combustion engine rig is compared to the performance of the standard internal combustion engine rig (without installing fuel saver in the fuel line of internal combustion engine rig). Speed of the engine and number of coil windings of fuel saver are chosen as the testing variables for the proposed research. The proposed research has succeeded to produce the fuel saver, which is based on electromagnetic for saving the automotive fuel consumption. Results of the research show that the fuel saver which is produced can save fuel consumption about 30.79% especially for number of winding 4000 coils and diameter of wire 0.35 mm. In addition the produced fuel saver can reduce the opacity of the emission gas.


Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia :

Sebagaimana yang telah diketahui bahwa dengan semakin menipisnya persediaan bahan bakar serta mahalnya harga bahan bakar akhir-akhir ini di Indonesia, maka para peneliti terus berusaha mencari sumber-sumber energi alternatif. Secara bersamaan para peneliti berusaha juga menemukan peralatan yang dapat menghemat pemakaian bahan bakar untuk kendaraan bermotor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh perubahan diameter kawat kumparan alat penghemat bahan bakar yang berbasis elektromagnetik terhadap konsumsi energi motor diesel. Diameter kawat kumparan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah 0,25 dan 0,35 mm. Pengamatan dilakukan dengan menguji kinerja mesindipasang peralatan penghemat bahan bakar dan tidak dipasang alat penghemat bahan bakar (mesin standar). Sebagai variabel pengujian adalah putaran mesin, dan banyaknya lilitan yang digunakan pada kumparan alat penghemat bahan bakar yang dirancang. Penelitian ini telah berhasil merancang alat penghemat bahan bakar solar yang berbasis elektromagnetik dan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan diameter kawat 0,35 mm dan jumlah lilitan kumparan 4000 lilitan memberikan penghematan bahan bakar sekitar 30,79% dibandingkan dengan mesin diesel standar. Disamping itu penambahan penghemat bahan bakar dalam penelitian ini mengurangi opasitas (kehitaman) dari gas buang motor diesel yang diuji.
